Gustavo Arango enseña español y literatura latinoamericana en Rutgers y Princeton University. Posee un BA en periodismo, un MA en literatura latinoamericana y española, y es candidato a PhD en literatura latinoamericana en Rutgers University. En 2002, recibió el Premio Marcio Veloz Maggiolo, concedido en Nueva York a novelas escritas en español. Ha publicado varios libros periodísticos y literarios, incluidos trabajos biográficos sobre Gabriel García Márquez y Julio Cortázar. En Colombia, fue editor del suplemento literario del diario El Universal y recibió el Premio Nacional de Periodismo Simón Bolívar.

In this novel, published in 2000, Eric imagines his future as if he had lived it already. Eric travels to places that become empty after his arrival and discovers that the future and the past can be similar ways of dreaming. A reflection on solitude, the mystery of the world, and the dificulties that each one of us faces to comunicate with the others.

Gustavo Arango teaches Spanish and Latin American Literature at Rutgers and Princeton Universities. He holds a BA in Journalism, a MA in Spanish Literature, and currently is a PhD candidate in Latin American Literature at Rutgers University. In 2002, he received the “Marcio Veloz Maggiolo Prize,” given in New York for novels written in Spanish. He has published several journalistic and literary books, including biographical works on Gabriel García Márquez and Julio Cortázar. In Colombia he was the editor of the literary magazine of the newspaper El Universal, and won the “Simón Bolívar Prize,” the national award in journalism.
